With outstanding photographs and drawings, distribution maps, details of the biology and stranding record, the App is the perfect guide to the marine mammals of Tasmania. It also provides a guide to whale and seal viewing and advise on what to do if you come across stranded whales or beached seals. Like "Bird in the Hand" and "Frog Log", the app includes the ability to send in sightings from GPS-enabled devices. The coordinates of submitted sightings are entered into the Natural Values Atlas and will help scientists build a record of Tasmanias' whales and seals The island of Tasmania is Australia s smallest and most southern State.
